Mom and Dad: Murray Kenneth Douglas entered this world on Monday July 27, 1970 at 8:00 am to proud parents, Murray K. Douglas and Martha A. Douglas. He was born at Mercy Hospital in Denver, Colorado weighing in at 9 lbs. and 1oz. Ken attended St.
His career in Colorado allowed him to travel to other states such as California, Idaho, Wyoming, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, and the Dakota’s. Our favorite memories of Ken’s childhood are many. He loved toy cars and trucks, which advanced to his getting a fancy dirt bike and finally a car of his own. He mostly hung out with his buddies during high school and college. He loved to read books, which were many, and to talk about information he learned from watching the History Channel and any programs or books that had interesting information. His favorite pastime was Recreational Vehicles, mostly the new RV type. Especially the few times the family rented an RV to go to the Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico. One thing Ken and his son Micah, enjoyed so much was the “Thursday Night Dinners” ritual we had going on for over thirty years. He always told us how much he appreciated that and looked forward to it every Thursday.
When Ken got older, his focus turned to God. He read Bible stories and scriptures.
