She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Newsom Dotson, and Bertha Mae Thompson Dotson; her husband, K.W. “Wayne” Embry; and her sisters, Jacqueline Yvonne Dotson, and Geraldine Ellingson; her grandson, David Eric .
