Muriel R. Longacre, 87, of Spinnerstown, died Monday, March 1 in Grand View Hospital. Born in West Conshohocken, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Bessie (Duncan) Rinehart. She was a secretary at the former Deterger Enterprise, Spinnerstown for a number of years before retiring. Previously, she worked at the former J.W. Rex Co., Lansdale. Muriel was a member of East Swamp Church, Quakertown and volunteered at Care & Share Shoppes, Souderton. Survivors: son, Charles P. “Chuck” Jr. and wife Allison of Quakertown; grandchildren, Benjamin Longacre, Melissa Swartley, Kimberly Mengle, Amy McNabb; great-granddaughter, Paige Longacre.
