Muriel Kay Wright, of Parker, CO passed away at the young age of 74 on August 14, 2022. She was born to Hank and Beryl (Pfiester) Giesler on August 9, 1948 in Bates City, Missouri. She cherished being raised by her parents Hank and Beryl. Mertie dedicated her life to her family, friends, Chatfield Crazies, and Dencor where she worked until her early retirement. Mertie and her husband Jerry enjoyed boating at Chatfield Reservoir for many years and loved the friendships made in their group of “Chatfield Crazies”. Another loved hobby was that of traveling across the U.S.
Mertie Wright is survived by her daughter Renelle (John Barr) Hopkins of Largo FL; grandchildren: Kedrick (Brittany) Barr of Poneto, Indiana; Kayleigh (Leo Starr) Hopkins of Largo, FL; Kendra Barr, of Warren, Indiana; Kobe (Allie Reinig) Hopkins of Huntington, Indiana; Kara (Dale Johnson) Hopkins of Warren, Indiana; Great Grandchildren: Cooper Barr, Cash Barr, Luanne Barr, Alleynna Hopkins and Oaklann Johnson; sister Carolyn (John) Hedgecock; niece and nephews: Jaylynn (Ron) Cullison, Lashell (Gaylon) Tinder, Dereck Allbee, Eric Giesler, Charlotte Koch, Kristy Kay (Shane) Tompson, Glen Talmage, Tanya Talmage and many great nieces and nephews.
Mertie was preceeded in death by her husband, Jerry Wright, her mother Beryl, her father Hank, a brother Bill Giesler and sister, Mary Lou.
