Early Sunday morning, December 13, 2020, Muriel Keen was called home by her Lord, Jesus Christ, at the age 90 after a brave battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. Muriel is survived by her two children and their partners, grand-children, great-grand-children, and many friends she loved dearly.
Muriel was born on June 5th, 1930 in New York to William and Eleanor Fitton. In 1945, she moved to Miami. She married her high school sweetheart, John Paul Keen, on April 29th, 1950 and they had two children, Richard and Kathleen Keen. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She loved traveling, painting, making jewelry, gardening, ceramics, canning her famous apple sauce, and sitting on the front porch of her home in Blairsville, Georgia. Muriel is well loved and will be missed by her many friends in Miami, Florida and Blairsville, Georgia.
