Muriel Elizabeth Points. 95, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Jacksonville Convalescent Center.
She was born Oct. 14, 1912, near Jacksonville, the daughter of Ellsworth and Caroline M. Megginson Hembrough. She first married Claude Suter and later married Harold Points, and they both preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Gary (wife, Mary Jo) Suter of Waverly; four grandchildren, Amy (husband B.J.) Murray of Chatham, Beth (husband, Kevin) Patty of Waverly, Cary (wife, Mary Alice) Suter of Springfield and Deitra Suter of Waverly; three great-grandsons; half-sister, Donna (husband, Howard) Gutekunst of Jacksonville; half-brother, Harlan (wife, Dorothy) Thomas of Petersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Kenneth, John Dale, Howard, Gerald, Ray, Wayne, Floyd Elmer and Ralph Hembrough; half-brother, Bobby Joe Thomas (surviving wife, Beverly of Jacksonville); one sister, Helen Kopplin; and half-sister, Virginia Schramm.
Mrs. Points was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church.
