Muriel was educated in the Brooklyn Public School system. Because there were not many job options for women in the 1940’s, Muriel went for advanced training where she learned shorthand and administrative skills. She didn’t hesitate to better herself by attending enrichment classes throughout her life. Like her mom, Eunice, Muriel was a skilled seamstress, making prom gowns and many of the outfits that our family wore over the years.

Muriel gave her life to the Lord at an early age and became a member of St.

Muriel became a member of St.

Muriel worked at Raytheon Technologies and Polaroid Corporation for over thirty years. She retired from Polaroid in 1988 and spent time with her family and grandchildren, hosting them for the summer and taking them on many adventures. She loved family and worked hard to keep the family circle connected.

The Boston Celtics and New England Patriots lost their greatest cheerleader. She would get annoyed if you called her during the games and would politely tell you to call back after the game.

Muriel loved fashion and always dressed with class.

Muriel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred Greene; brothers, Beverly and Earl Waterman; mother-in-law, Gladys Greene. Muriel leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughters: Charlene Greene Sanders (Shedrick) and Leah Griffin Baptiste (Jim); grandchildren: Afua Sanders Kim (Steven), Abena Horton (Alex), Dion Baptiste (Ashley) and Brandon Baptiste; great grandchildren: Asa, Olivia, Sofia, Eden, and Devin; devoted sister-in-law, Elsie Greene; special friends: Eurene Lashley and Lawson Greene; and her “third daughter,”

Roberta Holder-Mosley. Muriel also leaves a host of dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
