Muriel was born June 2, 1926 to John and Agnes Holmes in New Orleans, La. and had been an area resident for 35 years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Muriel was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Vernon in 2013 and is survived by her daughter Patricia (Jerry) Leyden; grandchildren Erin (Mark) Smith; Jeremy (Sandra) Leyden and Kira (Jeff) Andrea; great grandchildren Justin and Brooke Smith, Jeremy, Sarah, Lukas and Rachel Leyden and Rayne and River Andrea.
