Salem Murel Louis (Louie) Hinton, 62, of Randolph St. in Salem passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Richie Co. on October 17, 1948, a son of the late Charles Albert Hinton and Gladys Emma Smith Hinton. Mr. Hinton is survived by a son, Anthony Hinton and wife Gina, of Montreal, Canada, two daughters, Angela Wagner and husband Michael of Clarksburg and Ashley French and husband Danny of Martinsburg, WV.; his former wife Karen Hinton of Salem, two brothers, Larry C. Hinton and wife Rose of Pennsboro, and Lesley Hinton and wife Sherrie of Ellenboro.Also surviving are three grandchildren, Anthony Hinton, Logan Wagner, and Zane Wagner, an aunt, Shirley Ridgeway and husband Bob of Pennsboro, and several nieces and nephews. Louie graduated from Pennsboro High School and attended college at Parkersburg Community College and Salem College. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years and continued to enjoy reading all his life. He was Baptist by faith.
