Alfred F. Mueller, 81, of Mascoutah, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Mar-Ka Nursing Home in Mascoutah. He was born March 24, 1925 in St. Rose son of Herman F. & Rosa M. (Ottensmeier) Mueller. He married Aline R. Gregoire’ August 4, 1956 in South Bridge, MA and she preceded in death on October 22, 1994.
He is survived by ten brothers, Ralph Mueller and wife Norma of New Baden, Jerome Mueller and wife Sally of Belleville, Martin Mueller and wife Pearl of Mascoutah, Dick Mueller and wife Mary Ann of East Alton, Ben Mueller and wife Joanne of Mascoutah, Jim Mueller and wife Pat of Glendale, KY, Larry Mueller and wife Thelma of Fairview Heights, Richard Mueller of Sahaurita, AZ, Philip Mueller and wife Linda of Trenton, & Thomas Mueller and wife Karen of New Baden; two sisters, Johanna Mueller of New Baden and Mary Hogg and husband Vincent of Lebanon; brother-in-law & sisters-in-law, Rosalie Mueller of Newnan, GA & Ernest & Gertrude Gregoire’ of South Bridge, MA; his uncle, Ferd Mueller of Trenton, and aunt, Jean Basler of St. Louis; he is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great- great nieces and great- great nephews.
In addition to his parents, and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Mueller. Mr. Mueller was a dairy farmer. He was a member of St. George Parish & Holy Name Society, St. Clair County Farm Bureau, and Sanitary Milk Producers. He was Godfather of his brother, Richard, niece, Bobbie, nephews, Greg & Brian, and great –nephew, Blake.
Alfred enjoyed gardening and his rose garden, raising Bantham chickens and roosters. His cows and dogs were his best friends. He also enjoyed playing cards, traveling and holidays with his family. Alfred was known for his pies and angel food cakes.
