Surrounded by his loving family, Warren H. Miller, Jr., MSgt., US Army, Retired, peacefully entered the Gates of Heaven on January 1, 2018.
A son of the late Warren H. Miller, Sr. and the late Thelma Tittle Miller, he was born in Vernon, Florida on August 5, 1931. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Peggy Joyce Worthington Miller; son, Bill Miller; grandchildren, Amanda Miller and James Patrick Miler; and a sister, Louise Cook.
After graduation, he served in the US Army for 20 years, having served two tours in Korea achieving the rank of Master Sergeant as well as being awarded the Purple Heart. Following his military career, he worked with the Postal Service for 22 years as a mail carrier and later for Publix as 5 years. He enjoyed square dancing with his beloved wife, traveling, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Warren H. Miller, III, Rodney Miller (Anna), Deanna Scott (Dale), Lori Evans (Chris) and “adopted” daughter, Barbara Hayes (Chuck); twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, with two on the way; and a sister, Mary Kathaleen Simmons
