Virginia L. Allen, 95, of Tallahassee, passed away February 11, 2017. The daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Willie Rhodes Brown, she was born October 8, 1921, in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was a housekeeping supervisor for several hotels and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and watching wrestling. She is survived by her son, William J. Knowles; grandson, William H. (Jennifer) Knowles; grandchildren, Chandler and Bailey; brother, Bill Brown; and a sister-in-law, Janice Brown. She is preceded in death by a brother, Bill Brown.
