Viola Theresa Giannarelli, 94, of Tallahassee, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, October 09, 2018 at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
She was born in Ridgefield, Connecticut on August 15, 1924, to the now late Nazzareno and Angelina Giaoccomini Cassavechia. Also preceding her in death are her six siblings. She was a homemaker and also had worked at Scowden’s Hardware. A parishioner at St. Louis Catholic Church, she had resided in Tallahassee since 2007, having come from Vero Beach. She sang in the choir at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, was a volunteer at Andrews AFB, Sebastian River Medical Center and at Apalachee Elementary School. She was also an avid crocheter and crocheted up until days before her passing.
Survivors include daughters, Judy Giannarelli and Marilyn Andrews; grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Woods and Benjamin Scott Andrews; great-grandchildren; Braden Charles Woods and Aveline Violet Woods; and a sister, Dorothy Samuelson.
