Ms. Sandra Marie Dixon passed away peacefully at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, FL. after a lengthy illness.
Ms. Dixon was born June 26, 1961 in Springfield, MA to the late James Maxie Dixon and Ruby Inez Dixon.
Sandra received her formal education through Springfield, MA, Wayne County, GA schools, and Chowan College, Murfreesboro, N.C.
Sandy was a superb athlete, excelling in both basketball, as well as softball. As a result of her exceptional basketball skills, Sandy was awarded a basketball scholarship from Chowan College,
Murfreesboro, N.C.
Sandy retired from CFI Trucking Company as a driver in 2013 when her health began to decline. In addition to being preceded by both parents, Ms. Dixon was also proceeded by one
brother, Michael Dixon.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, that she raised as her own, Chavazz Wilson, as well as two granddaughters, Ahanii and Kyleigh. Her siblings: Lynard (Lucinda) Dixon
of Las Vegas, NV, Vicky Dixon-Pasley of Fayetteville, GA, James (Gwenda-Sue) Dixon of Hazlehurst, GA, Oliver Dixon of Jesup, GA and Ronnell “Pete” Dixon of Hazlehurst, GA., the
Jessup family from Springfield, MA., two fur babies that she cherished, Smoo and Theodore; a devoted and dedicated caregiver: Reita Darlene Mobley; her childhood friends, Carolyn Kelly,
