Sandra Ruth “Sandy” Edington, 69, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016, in Tallahassee. A daughter of the late Jack Davis, Sr. and Ruth Conn Davis, she was born November 24, 1946, in Macon, Mississippi. She worked as a legal secretary in Memphis, Tennessee, and later retired from the Tallahassee Democrat as a secretary. She enjoyed travelling, was a die hard FSU Seminole fan and enjoyed both college and professional football games. Her biggest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Edington, Jr. and Kimberly Edington; grandchildren, Olivia Edington, Gabrielle Edington, Savannah Edington and Zackery Edington, all of West Memphis, AR; siblings, Daphne Penrose, of Birmingham, AL and Jack Davis, Jr., of Cairo, GA; and uncle and aunts, Earl Conn, of Memphis, TN, Joanne Christy, of Valdosta, GA and Berta Davis, of Thomasville, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
