Raynetta Johnson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia born on July 15, 1961, to Mr. Tip Johnson and Mrs. Bettye Jean Cowan Johnson. Raynetta was the youngest of three siblings. Preceding her in death were her mother Mrs. Bettye Jean Cowan Johnson and brother Mr. Raymone Johnson.
Raynetta was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools, attended M. Agnes Jones Elementary School and graduated from Southwest High School. She continued her education in Alabama where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Tuskegee University.
Raynetta was employed for twelve years as a Probation and Parole Officer with the state of Florida. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed working at special sporting events. She particularly enjoyed attending the Super Bowls and collecting all types of sports paraphernalia. Her dedication and commitment to volunteer work was reflected in numerous organizations among those included were: Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry Campaign, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Miles for Cystic Fibrosis, The Bill Clinton Foundation, 2018 College Football National Championship, Truist Atlanta Tennis Open, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, WICERS (Women In Construction and Engineering Conference), Chick-fil-A Leadercast, Hot Chocolate Race, Girl Scout Cookie Program, Taste of Atlanta, the International Music Conference, Jeff Galloway Half Marathon, Atlanta Catalyst Conference, Cork for A Cause, Gilman Esprit de She Race, 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk, Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk, Margaritas for a Cause Walk, March of Dimes, 2013 Atlanta Four, 2018 College Football Play-Off National Championship, and the Fox Theater. Her volunteerism extended beyond Atlanta, often she would travel out of state to volunteer and support organizations.
Raynetta departed this life on finite earth and accepted her external life with her Savior Jesus Christ on June 11,2022. She leaves to mourn her memory a loving and devoted father, Mr. Tip Johnson; brother, Mr. Raynard Johnson, Uncle and Aunt, Mr. & Mrs. Johnny and Betty Cowan; devoted cousin, Ms. Frances Johnson; and a host of other cousins, family, and friends.
