Marjorie Craig, 81, of Tallahassee, passed away peacefully at the Big Bend Hospice House on Friday, November 16, 2018.
A daughter of the late Albert Eugene and Evelyn Mildred McBride Craig, she was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 21, 1931. Also preceding her in death is a sister, Connie Ruth Warren; and her long time friend, Cathi Jeanne Atkinson.
She was a graduate of Howard College, now Samford University with a Bachelor’s degree, followed by receiving a Master’s degree from the University of Georgia. While at Howard, she was a member of the Debate Team. Following graduation from UGA, she taught 7th Grade for many years prior to becoming a mental health therapist.
As a mental health therapist, she was Director of Sexual Abuse Program for the Child Protective Team and later was director the HRS Training Institute for the State of Florida.
She is survived by her siblings, Wayne (Sharon) Craig and Jane Elizabeth (Phillip) Wales; brother-in-law, Palmer Warren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
