Lynn Considine Cobb, age 74, died Friday November 4, 2016, as a result of a head-on collision.
Born September 7, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas, Lynn received her undergraduate degree in English at Texas A&M University and then attained her J.D. at the University of Wyoming. In 2013, Lynn accepted an honorary Ph.D. from Flagler College, recognizing her devotion and service to the education field and to higher education.
Lynn dedicated her life to her legislative work as Special Counsel to the Florida House Speaker’s Office, and was an invaluable and unforgettable presence to all. Her expertise and passion left an impact on generations of staff members and on state law that will be everlasting.
Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, James Considine and Ann Considine; and her brother, Charles Considine. Lynn is survived by her spouse, Phil Herron; her siblings, Corby Considine, Jan Carrington, and Laird Considine; her three children, Lori Johnson, Leanne Ames and Michael Ames; and four grandchildren, Zachary, Christina, Molly and Erica.
