Ms. Lula Turrentine, age 89 passed on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Community Home Care, 2702 Farrell Road, Sanford, NC.

Ms. Turrentine was born April 13, 1921 to the late Corney Dowdy Turrentine and Anthony Turrentine.
She received her formal education in the North Carolina Public Schools. She moved to Stamford, Conn at an early age and became a seamstress for a laundry and dry cleaning business. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, traveling, laughing and having fun.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine, a son, her twin sister, Lillie May Turrentine Blue and her brother, Walter L. Turrentine (Gertrude).
She leaves to cherish her memory; two nephews, Walter Louis Turrentine (Sharon), and Kenneth Turrentine (Deborah), Moncure, NC and one niece, Yvonne Turrentine Walker (Rod), Seaside, CA and a host of cousins, and other relatives and friends.
