Ms. Linda Salisbury, 69, died April 23, 2021 at home under the care of Covenant Hospice. She was born in Grand Ridge, Florida to the late Juanita Bass and Jesse L. Jeter.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Debbie Causey and Margie Wilson; her brother, Jerry Jeter. Survivors include her children, James Cooper (Nora), Ray Cooper (Bambi Kever), Melissa Bradford, Johnny Aaron (Lisa); brothers, Dan Jeter and Ebb Jeter; sister, Marilyn Cooper. She also has 19 half brothers and sisters on her Father’s side.
Linda was a loving mother who worked hard her entire life to take care of her children and grandchildren, and a mother to everyone who needed her. She was an angel to most and a friend to everyone. She devoted her life to her 4 children and helped raise many of her grandchildren; Rachel Rae, Victoria, Christopher and Andray Cooper, Carson Cash, Johnny Ray, Michelle and Dillon Aaron, Brittany Tanner (Josh), Austin Massey, Michael Harris, Joshua Bradford, Jr., Timothy Barnes, Edwin and Brittany Duncan, Garret and Jada Paugh, Brayden, Cameron and Peyton James Cooper. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Ripley Lerae Downing, Chloe, Addilyn, Kayden and River Tanner. A great-great grandchild, Blakely Saige Gullett, will soon be among survivors. Ms Linda never met a stranger, and everyone who met her quickly learned to love her.
A quote from her son James, ” I used to wonder if there were really angels on earth, but then I looked into my mother’s eyes and realized that my mother was always the angel I wondered about ”. Ms. Linda was loved by many and an inspiration to every mother out there. She was an epitome of what a mother should be. We miss you mom, and we will be with you one day again dancing and singing with the angels. Love you with all of our hearts. There will never be another like you. The family gives a very special thank you to James Cooper’s wife, Nora, for making our mother’s last few weeks a comfortable and happy time. You’re Heaven sent and an angel in disguise.
