Keyshia Michelle Cooper was born August 6, 1973 to Shelia and Gary Cooper. She was the oldest of two siblings, Sultan of Douglas, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her mother Shelia 2018. Keyshia graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1992, which was the same year as her brother Sultan. She then moved to New York, N.Y., and while in New York she was employed as a home health aide and at a “Telephone Center” for a market research firm. She also worked at a call center for after-hours patients. Keyshia was well respected by her family, friends, and co-workers. Keyshia enjoyed music from a select few, such as Ed Sheeran, Robin Thicke, E40, Simple Minds, Journey, Kanye West, Duran Duran, Coldplay, Michael Bolton, U2, and Tears for Fears. Her favorite TV shows included Handmaids Tale, Blacklist, House of Cards, Scandal, and Empire. The foods that she liked the most were chocolate, Kalua Pig, and Ramen noodles. Keyshia’s legacy will live on through her god daughter, ILO Fata of Tacoma, Wash., her nieces Kennedei “Nandi” of Albany, Ga., Jayla “Jay” of Douglas, Ga., and her nephew Sultan “lil Coop” of Douglas, Ga. To cherish her memory are her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, friends, god daughter, and her loving brother.
