Katie Frances Ray Haywood, age 73, of 2830 Kidd Road – Apt. 13, departed this life at 5:25 AM, Tuesday, September 27, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dora Woods Ray; daughters, Elaine Haywood and Veronica “Roni” Teia Haywood Moore, a sister, Fannie Ray Jones and a brother, Arthur Thomas Ray.
Survivors: daughter, Erica Benita Haywood of CA; step-son, Frank Hinton of Raleigh; step-daughters, Paulette Davis and Helen Hinton both of Raleigh; grandson, Anthony “A.J.” Moore Jr. of CA; great granddaughter, Brooklynn Te’aia Moore of Brunswick Co., NC; sister, Stella Ray of New Jersey; brother, Ralph Ray of Delaware; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
