Jacquelyn A. Matchett, age 79, of Milford, died Sunday March 21, 2010, at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a warm and loving person who touched many lives along her journey and will be greatly missed
Jackie was born on December 31, 1930 in Pennsylvania. She was the only child of the late Armand and Nora O’Connor Delage. She was raised and schooled in Waterbury, relocating to Milford in 1958.
Jackie was the devoted mother of four children and seven grand children; the late David W. Matchett Jr. who passed in 1973 at the age of 21; Michael C. Matchett who passed in 1997 at the age of 42 and his daughter Macaire Matchett of Boston; Donna Matchett of Milford and her children, Amy Gonsalves of NY, Brian, Melanie and David Gonsalves all of Milford and Jeffrey H. Matchett and his wife Wendy of Milford and their children Dylan and Tanner. Also survived by her cousin Margie Weeks of Naugatuck; daughter-in law Lisa Andrade of Milford. Jackie was the former wife of the late David W. Matchett Sr. Jackie was predeceased by her dear friend Thomas J. Cody Sr. of Milford
