Gladys Johnson was born on May 30, 1944 in East Palatka, Florida to the late Ned Roundtree and Hattie Roundtree (Walls). She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Johnson, Sr. (Charlie), her brothers; Orlando Roundtree and Robert Roundtree, two children; Barbarann Inge and Seth Johnson.
She was educated in the East Palatka School System. She later met Charles Johnson and they wed in East Palatka, Florida in 1961. They moved to Poughkeepsie, NY where out of their union had 4 children.
Gladys was not only an exceptional wife, mother, and homemaker, she was also a hard worker outside the home and had many different jobs.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons: Charles, Johnson Jr. of Hyde Park, NY and Tony W. Johnson of Elm City, NC; one sister, Hattie Mae Randolph; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
