Felecia Bea Stephens, 43, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021.
The only daughter of Lamar Lee Stephens, Jr., of blessed memory, and Jo Ann Shaw Watts, who survives, she was born in Perry, Florida on August 9, 1978. She is also preceded in death by her step-father, Donald D. Watts; nephew, Zachary Lee Stephens; and former husband and daughter’s father, Jonathan Brandon Edwards.
Survivors include her only daughter, Morgan Alyssa Edwards; siblings, Lamar Lee Stephens, III and Jefferey Lee Stephens (wife, Nikki); niece, Alysha Noah; nephew, Zane Stephens. She is also survived by many friends as well as several young women whom she sponsored in recovery and motherhood.
She was a Registered Nurse for 20 years and pursued a degree in Criminology, dedicating herself to quality control and inmate care at the Leon County Jail, genuinely caring for and counseling those young men and women, regardless of what walk of life they were in.
She spent over a decade sacrificing weekends and hours on the phone talking to and mentoring those who struggled with addiction and displacement on their paths to recovery and regaining their lives and they would like to thank her for her wise words and healing presence.
