Doris Evelyn Cohen was born on October 22, 1936, in Roseland, Florida and passed away from complications of COPD in Tallahassee at the age of 84 on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
She lived the first part of her life in Osteen and Sanford, Florida and later moved to Tallahassee around 1960-61. She was a telephone operator, part-owner in Fatman’s BBQ and worked at Seminole Community College.
She was a member of the Osteen Baptist and North Florida Baptist Churches. She is predeceased by both her parents, Elmer Cohen and Jennie Mae Giddens Cohen. She is also predeceased by siblings, Gertie Johnson, Irene Hancock and Elmer (Teensie) Cohen; grandson, Rhett Lee Frisbie; and son-in-law, Mitch Terranova. She was married for 27 years to Ken Frisbie, Jr., and is survived by their five children: Kenneth Frisbie III (Elizabeth), Angela Linton (Christopher), Marcia Terranova, Rhett Frisbie (Debbie) and George Frisbie; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Herbert Cohen (Delorse); sister, Marie Burleson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
