Cora Lee Long, born in Union Springs, Alabama, on February 23, 1930 to Annie Calhoun-Smith and Robert Smith. She was married to the late Jessie Long, Sr. in Montgomery, Alabama. She lived most of her years in Alabama until she relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1970.
Cora was a loving homemaker, who loved to listen to music, spend time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, and being surrounded by her family. She never met a stranger and was loved by many and loved everyone, she was our Madea.
Cora entered into the arms of her Heavenly Father on September 19, 2021.
Cora is survived by her three sons, Robert Lee Long, Jessie Long Jr., and Will Long; grandsons; Noket Long (Nicole), Arfonso Long (Wendy), Michael Long, David Jackson, Anita Jackson (Otis), Coreena Jackson, Fred Long, Fredrick Long, Dariel and Danny Hosea, Catherine, Jasmine, Dre; thirty four great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many family and friends that she cherished.
