Betty Sayer, 76, died March 24, 2022, at her home in Tallahassee, Florida. Ms. Sayer was born on February 3, 1946, in Douglas, Georgia to Herbert and Eva Taylor Mills. After high school, she became an accountant and worked for the State of Florida for several years.
Ms. Sayer enjoyed having fun and joking around, sometimes appearing to be joking, but really being serious. This often had her family members and friends guessing. She loved animals, plants, flowers, working in her yard, garage sales, flea markets, estate sales, soap operas, Survivor, Law and Order, Magnum PI (with Tom Selleck). However, perhaps her greatest love was for her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Randall Sayer; a grandson, Cory Sayer; and a brother-in-law, Tom Stewart. Ms. Sayer is survived by her son, Tony (Chirlyn) Sarvis; daughter, Cassie (Scott) Strickland; sister, Bonnie Stewart; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Sophie.
