Barbara Anne Mahaffey, 81, died March 31, 2022, at Tallahassee Memorial Health Care. She was born June 5, 1940, to Lowell Bradford and Willie Mae Maddox Weaver in Donalsonville, Georgia.
Anne graduated from Turner High School in Ashburn, Georgia. She worked for Roddenberry’s in Cairo, Georgia and was the comptroller for over thirty years at Premium Assignment Corporation in Tallahassee, Florida. She lived in Tallahassee, Florida, most of her adult life and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Calvary, Georgia. She was a strong, independent woman who loved her family. She enjoyed movies of all types, but especially movies with Patrick Swayze; she enjoyed watching Gunsmoke reruns, mystery shows, playing games and puzzles. She was an avid reader and also a pianist. She was predeceased by her mother and father, a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include her daughters, Amber Daughtry (Mark) and Denean Spradley; her son, Damon Mahaffey – all of Tallahassee; brothers, Jerome “Tap” Weaver (Betty) of Calvary, Georgia and Ronnie Weaver (Judy) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; her sister, Brenda Nicholson (Lanny) of Meigs, Georgia; grandchildren, Eric Marshall, Nicole Crum, Tiffany Neumans and Delaney Spradley; eight great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
