Alice Jean Pyle, 82, of Monticello, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Eden Springs Nursing Home. A daughter of the late John William and Minnie Anne Reynolds Pyle, she was born on January 21, 1936, in Welch, West Virginia. She proudly served her county in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and had retired from the State of Florida after many years as an Executive Secretary. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint, pottery and crafts. She is survived by her children, Sarah Lynne Mayo and James Scott (Diane) Mayo; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; siblings, John W. Pyle and Jim (Vivian) Pyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
