Mrs. Willena Ossa Pollard, née Ossa Johnson, Willena was born on January 31, 1940, in Atoka, Tennessee. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. Her parents were Bertha and Jeam Johnson.
Willena was the youngest of her twelve siblings, she had two sisters and nine brothers. She was also a twin of Helena. Willena often reminisced with her great-grandchildren about how she grew up on a farm with different kinds of animals. Willena also attended Haynes High School, where she graduated.
Willena moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1965, with her husband, William H. Pollard, and her daughter, Joan Brown. Willena and William were married for over thirty years.
Willena was a loving woman and entrepreneur.
Willena departed this life on Tuesday August 23, 2022, at the age of eighty-two years six months and twenty-one days. Willena left behind her husband, William H. Pollard. She was preceded in eternal life by her daughter, Joan Brown.
Willena also left behind her five grandsons, Eric Brown, Lamont Brown, Virgil Johnson, James Talley and Shawn Talley; forty-two great- grandchildren. nine great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Even though she may be gone physically,
She has left us all with an infinite amount of love, laughs, and memories
That we will always carry in our hearts,
and can look back on when we miss you the most.
