Wanda F. Smith, 69, of Tallahassee, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the Big Bend Hospice House. A daughter of George Washington Emmons and Bessie Harvell Emmons, of blessed memory, she was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 6, 1951.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, David M. Smith; and siblings, Betty Ray, Billy Emmons and Willie Emmons. She spent her working years in the Hospitality industry, primarily at the Capital City Country Club. She also worked at Angelo’s Downtown, as well as Kate Sullivan Elementary School and Florida High School, in their lunchroom department. She finished out her working career as a door greeter at Wal-mart. A member of the Moose Lodge, she enjoyed playing Bingo, being outside in the sun, listening to music and dancing, reading, and she especially loved every opportunity she had to entertain.

Survivors include her brother, Bobby Emmons; daughters, Melissa Smith (wife, Holly) and Michelle Williamson; grandson, Zachary Williamson (fiancé, Savannah); great-grandchildren, Kinley, Kylie, Bryce, Parker and Caden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
