She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 26 years, Kelvin Cotton, three sons, Dionte’ Gilchrist of Raleigh, N.C., Mario and Valente’ Cotton; one daughter, Portia Cotton all of the home; her mother, Mary Odessa Richardson of Sanford, N.C.; mother-in-law, Annie Bell Cotton; one brother, Tony Gilchrist (Karen) of Spring Lake, N.C.; three sisters, Teresa Harris of Spring Lake, N.C., Claudia Wright (Larry) of Tampa, Florida and Nikkie Covington Gilchrist (Chris) of Cameron, N.C.; two special sisters, Kevetta Mellette and Theresa Jodan; two special cousins, Pastor Alice Hooker and Bobbie Jordan; three wonderful aunts, Luvenia Jones (Hubert), Ellen Brewington (Henry) and Shirley Gilchrist; two brothers-in-law, Robert Cotton Jr. and Jimberly Cotton; two sisters-in-law, Kimberly Cotton and Johnetta Cotton; her godson, Corey Ellis, Jr., and two goddaughters, “Zay Zay” and Martasia Shianne Dowdy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
