Mrs. Shirley Pipkin Frazier, 82, of Magnolia, North Carolina, died Sunday morning at Wayne UNC Healthcare in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She was born in Sampson County, North Carolina on August 5, 1935, to the late Archibald Taylor and Veva Pipkin Boron.
Shirley was a dispatcher for the Huntsville, Alabama Police Department from 1967 to 1992 where she retired as Sgt. Supervisor. She was a member of Johnson Baptist Church in Warsaw, North Carolina.
She is survived by two sons, Steven T. Frazier and wife Ginger of Magnolia, and John L. Frazier of Huntsville, Alabama. A daughter, Shirley Ann Frazier Hill of Huntsville, an aunt, Edna Smith of Magnolia, two grandchildren, Cara Frazier Nwodu and Brett Frazier, and three great grandchildren; and the greatest of friends, including especially her Huntsville Police Department “Boys in Blue.”
