Sandra Hancock Bethea, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, January 11, 2019. A daughter of the late Glenn T. Hancock and Sue Greene Hancock, who survives, she was born in Tallahassee on May 26, 1956. For the past 20 years she has been enriching lives as a paraprofessional and secretary at Canopy Oaks Elementary School. She was a member at Crossroads Baptist Church in Beachton, Georgia. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Neil Bethea; children, Daniel Glenn Bethea (Anna), Susan Bethea Pye (Otis) and Sarah Bethea Abarbanel (Marcus); grandchildren, Audrey, Kaleb, Amaya, Jaden and Brielle; sister, Kathy Hancock Miller (Bill); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Loving, humble, joyful, sweet, gentle, kind, and accepting are just a few adjectives describing Sandy. Her life reflected her faith in Jesus Christ, and she influenced many lives as she spread love and goodwill wherever she went. Her family was her greatest joy and passion.
