With great sadness the family announces the passing of their loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Ruth Harrison Hebert, who fell asleep in Christ on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Meeting her at the gates of Heaven are her parents, Charles Harrison and Martha Hodges Harrison; husband of 62 years, Rev. Leo A. Hebert; son, William Harrison (Bill) Hebert, who passed away in August 2021 from Covid-19; and her siblings.
She is survived by her children, Harold Leo Hebert, Cheryl Ruth Hebert, Timothy Hebert (wife, Amy), and Bill’s wife Denise Hebert; grandchildren, Landon Hebert (wife, Lacey), Deanna Hebert and Michelle Hebert; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Ruth faithfully served in the US Army in the Pacific theatre in WW II, having attained the rank of Corporal in the WACC Communications Sector.
A pastor’s wife for 62 years, she helped her husband lead many souls to Christ, in Louisiana, Alabama, Maryland, and Florida. She was a teacher for many years where she taught the greatness of America and its unique individual freedoms. Ruth loved her Lord, her family and her country.
