Ruby May Hooks Sullivan, 85, a resident of Tallahassee, peacefully passed away Tuesday, February 09, 2016 at the Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House. A daughter of the late Marion Carnegia and Gladys May Tucker Hooks, she was born February 18, 1930, in Miami, Florida. Preceding her in death are her husbands, John E. Sullivan and Henry Talmadge Sullivan; her son, Robert Lee Sullivan, and her siblings, Glenda Riley, Edna Eccles, Mable Bell, Clarence Hooks, and her twin sister, Ruth Morgan. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ruby was retired from Winn-Dixie. She loved people and loved sharing with others about growing up on the farm. She loved flowers and gardening, and took pleasure in walking you through her yard and sharing clippings of her plants, as her yard was also filled with them. She enjoyed watching Westerns, John Wayne, Walker, Texas Ranger, and anything Elvis Presley. Surviving her are her son, Bill (Dale) Sullivan; grandchildren, Trent Sullivan, Travis Sullivan, Troy (Nicole) Sullivan, Chad (Allison) Sullivan; step-granddaughter Katelyn Levine; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Chris, Colby, Tucker, Aysia, Savannah, Kymberli; sisters, Betty Spence, Frances Roberts; sister-in-law, Faye Hooks. Also surviving are daughters-in-law, Virginia Sullivan and Barbara Barnett.
