Rita (Ruel) Girardin Napert, 86, of Bristol, formerly of Plainville, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 15, 2012. She was the wife of the late Clement Girardin and Arthur Napert.
Rita was born in Lewiston, Maine on November 28, 1925, one of fourteen children to the late Francis and Clara (Ferland) Ruel. Raised in Maine, she moved to Connecticut shortly after her marriage to Clement, where they raised their family of eight and shared 38 years of marriage. She married Arthur in 1994, with whom she spent 17 years prior to his passing in 2011. Rita was a devoted mother and grandmother, who was happiest being surrounded by her adored family, or playing various games of cards. A woman of strong faith and spirituality, she will be greatly missed, leaving her family with many cherished memories of the wonderful times shared together.
She leaves her children and grandchildren to carry on her legacy of love, Patricia Ezzo of FL., and her children, Tina, Donald, Jason and Dana; Marc Girardin and his wife Karen of Bristol; Mariette Lewandoski and her husband, Bill of Plantsville, and their children, Eric and his wife, Melissa, and KaSandra; Thomas GIrardin and his wife, Claire of MI and their daughter, Melissa; Keith Girardin and his wife, Nora of Bristol and their children, Keegan, Karen, and Jonathan; Grace Bleau and her husband, Robert, Jr. of Plainville and their children, Heather and her husband, Mohammed, Nicole, and Christina; Clara Annunziata and her husband, Andrew Jr., and their children, Josh, Andrew, III., and Dominic; and Theresa Gratton and her husband, Shane and their children, Myra and Chelsae. She also leaves her 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, George Ezzo and her 13 siblings.
