Rigmor Sherwood, age 91, resident of Milford and beloved wife to the late Richard Sherwood, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Milford Hospital. Born on October 25, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Marion Bowes Edwards. Born and raised in Adelaide, Australia, she completed finishing school and subsequently moved to the United States where she lived in Milford for the remainder of her life.
She is survived by her children, Robin Ray and his wife Lesa of Oregon, Colleen Shurminsky and her husband Robert of Milford and Leeland Sherwood and his wife Linda of Oxford, daughter-in-law Rita Sherwood of Fairfield and her step son Richard Sherwood and his wife Judie of Florida. Also her cherished grandchildren, Tania Dillon, Alesia Willman, Jessica Dyer, Stephen Sherwood and Stacy and Cooper Ray, great grandchildren, Joshua Henderson, Zachary Dillon, Amelia Willman and Dylan and Colin Dyer. In addition to her husband, Rigmor was predeceased by her son Marquis Sherwood and siblings Yvonne Edwards, Valerie Kelly and Warwick Edwards.
