Mrs. Reba Newby Carter, 91, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Mrs. Carter was born on April 18, 1931 to the late Jim Collins Newby and Verdie Johnson Newby.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawmut.
She loved her family, her church family, and her Lord Jesus Christ. As a lady of great faith, she recognized her blessings in life and often used the phrase “Blessed Beyond Measure”.
She loved the outdoors, working in her yard, and all of her pets.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Ronnie and Connie Carter, Valley, Alabama, Gene and Becky Carter, Montgomery, Alabama, Travis and Wanda Carter, Valley, Alabama; grandchildren, Ben Carter, Jennie Carter Sibley, Christin Carter Doyal, Allison Carter Hudson, Andrew Carter; great-grandchildren, Caroline Sibley, Jack Sibley, Jenna Sibley, Ella Carter, Addie Carter, Lane Carter, Lance Doyal, Lindsey Doyal, Chase Hudson; one great-granddaughter on the way; sister, Emma Newby Ross; numerous extended family members and friends.
