Mrs. Raye Hamil Hill, age 84, of Valley stepped out of this life and into the presence of Jesus on June 8th, 2017. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones as she entered into Heaven.
Mrs. Hill was born to the late Herman LeGrand Hamil and Elsie Morris Hamil on January 22, 1933, along with her twin sister, Faye Hamil Gauntt.
Raye married the love of her life, Rudolph Hill, on December 23, 1950. It was a relationship that spanned 66 years and was filled with joy, laughter, and love.
Mrs. Hill was a faithful member of West End Baptist Church in Valley, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Elsie Hamil; her brother, Ralph Hamil; and her sister, Sandra Bishop.
She is survived by her husband, Rudolph Hill; her daughter, Sharon Newton; her son, Terry (Sue) Hill; her sister, Faye Gauntt; eight grandchildren; eighteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
