Quilla Virginia Rutledge, 86, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away in the early hours of Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Big Bend Hospice House.
A daughter of John Dorsey Thomas and Mary Ellen Reeves Thomas, of blessed memory, she was born in Lakeland, Florida on January 21, 1935. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Betsy Elliott; sisters, Dot Hayes, Sandy Humphries, Claudia Williams and Thelma Couver; and brother, Alvin Thomas.
Cherishing her memories are her daughters, Judi Perkins, Grey Perkins (wife, Joy), Kathy Cantrell (husband, Roger) and Clay Perkins (wife, Gabriella). She was know Granny Grunt to her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was a dedicated homemaker, as well as a live in caregiver for many years. She enjoyed flowers and plants, as well as eating and sleeping.
