Peggy A. Barnett, 91, of Tallahassee, peacefully passed away March 5, 2018, at Big Bend Hospice.

Born in Bartow, Florida on November 21, 1926, she is the daughter of the late Hume C. Heath and the late Beulah Mae Stillwell Heath. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Major Bill J. Barnett; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Maxine Heath; and grandson-in-law, Wendell Harrison.

Everyone that knew Peggy described her as a kindhearted, gentle and sweet Southern lady. She was a founding member at John Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching the many birds at her feeder as well as tending the beautiful flowers in her yard. She loved dogs of any shape or size and cared for many through the years. Family boating and beach trips instilled a love of the outdoors in her children. She also loved her Seminoles and rarely missed the games on TV.

She is survived by her children, Bert Barnett and Barbara Barnett; grandchildren, Ian Barnett (wife, Tia-Serena), Heather Barnett, Shoura Barnett-Joseph (husband, Jeremy), Trent Sullivan (wife, Christina) and Travis Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Addison Barnett, Colin Barnett, Isabel Harrison, Drake Joseph, Molly Joseph and Aiden Sullivan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also surviving is Elizabeth Conway Barnett, mother to Ian, Heather and Shoura.
