She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron A. Dorsett and brother, Manley Lambert.
She was a member of New Hope AME Zion Church, Sanford, N.C.
She leaves to cherish her memories: five children; Eva Roena Cox of Sanford, N.C., Oran Dorsett (Hester) of Queens, NY, Barbara Jean Swann, of Swann Station, NC, William “WC” Dorsett (Helen) and Betty McLean all of Sanford, N.C.; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, twenty-two great great grandchildren; one sister, Omelia Evans of Sanford, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
