Mrs. Opal Ann Haith, age 9l of 208 N. 7th Street, Sanford, N.C. passed on Saturday, April 24,2010 at her residence.
Wake: Friday, April 30, 2010 – 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Opal was a cook at Lee County Hospital, Lee County School System and numerous restaurants in the area for many years. After retiring from her career as a cook, she became a Nursing Assistant and worked until the age of 80.
She was an active member of First Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church family and served as the President of the Senior Missionary Circle from 1984-1988.
She leaves to celebrate her life: five daughters, Louise Wilkerson of Sanford, NC, Mary Coleman of Amityville, New York, Brenda Johnson (Frank) of Seneca, South Carolina, Barbara Wilkerson (James) of Sanford, North Carolina, and Mitzie Haith of Sanford, North Carolina; one son, Ronnie Haith (Delores) of Killeen, Texas; one sister, Elnora Heck of Sanford, North Carolina; l6 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; one niece; three nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
