Mrs. Norma Jean “Kitty” Smith, age 82 of Summerville, GA, formerly of Macon, GA passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Smith was born August 25, 1934, in Frenchburg, KY, the daughter of the late Lona and Annie Back Brown. She was retired from Georgia Pacific, she was elected 1976, the First Female Union President of Georgia Pacific Corp.
Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband; Franklin D. Smith, daughter; Deborah L. Smith, and grandson; Lucus A. Smith.
Survivors children; Marcus A. Smith, Macon, GA, Rebecca Sockabasin, Robyn M. Smith, Princeton, ME, Sue and Ron Rowland, Summerville, GA, grandchildren; Sam Sockabasin, Chad Sockabasin, Heidi Sockabasin, and Jessica Cilley, step-grandchildren; Chip Rowland, Angela Rowland, and Keith Rowland, 6 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-great-grandchildren, sister; Marjorie Rudder, of Fairview, TN, and companions; “Pretty Boy” and “Stormy”.
