Noreen Lockhart Tucker, 89, of Orange CT, passed away peacefully on Oct 28, 2010 after a short illness. She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick on May 21, 1921 and married Edmund B Tucker in 1946.
Ed and Noreen have made their home in Orange since 1972. Noreen enjoyed raising three children, Robert, Peggy and Maris. She was an avid gardener, sailor and homemaker. Noreen had an affinity for befriending people which offered the opportunity to be an enthusiastic Girl Scout leader with her daughters. She also served a term as a highly respected and popular Sponsor for the General Electric Research and Development Center Women’s Newcomers Group. She reveled in the challenge of holding many offices in the Garden Club of Orange, including President, and, in addition, passionately assisted in the revival of the landscape design curriculum for the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut.
She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 64 years, Edmund B Tucker, 3 siblings, 3 children, and 5 grandchildren.
