Mrs. Mildred V. Pollaro, 87, of Orange, passed away at the Willows Health Care Center in Woodbridge on October 31, 2010. Daughter of the late Floyd and Nellie Viola Ovendon League, she was born on September 18, 1923 in Hagler, Nebraska.
Mildred was a teacher for many years. Aside from teaching, she greatly enjoyed being a homemaker and also had a love for gardening, crocheting and embroidery.
Mildred is survived by her three children, Paul Pollaro of Woodbridge, Pamela Pollaro of Orange and Rose East of Oxford; five grandchildren, Melanie, Joseph, Alyssa, Jennifer and Ronnie; six siblings, Floyd League of Wales, MA, Lorraine Real of McCook, NE, Mary Bauer of Kalispel, MT, Arletta Matthews of Indianola, NE, Ruth Cook of Aurora, CO and Thomas League of Umatilla, OR. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Pollaro on February 13, 2004 and her three siblings, Leon and Red League and Margaret Rustio.
