Mrs. Mary Randall Gunnels departed from this life to her heavenly home on July 27, 2013 .
Born on December 28, 1921 in Walker County, she was 91 years old.
A resident of River Falls, Alabama for 35 years, Mrs. Gunnels had lived with her daughter and son-in-law near Ashford, Alabama for the past two years.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Thomas Christopher Gu nnels; mother Mattie Lee Randall; sisters Vonner Sowell and Hazel Smith; and brother James Randall.
She is survived by her children Jaquita (Bob) Lucas of Dothan, Thomas William Gunnels of River Falls, Quanna (Don) Love of Ashford (Love Hill), and Randall (Jenny) Gunnels of Atlanta, GA.
Surviving grandchildren are: Glenn Dunkin Hicks, Morgan (Salina) Hicks, Scarlett Clark (Phillip Cheek) and Matthew (Jaimie) Gunnels. Great grand children: Dustin Lee (Jessica) Hicks, Tiffany (David) Sexton, Ryleigh Cheek, and great great grandson Jackson Lee Hicks.
She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Two very special friends are Mello Jo Parrish and Lois Milloy.
