Mrs. Mary Margaret Fletcher, age 92, passed away Friday February 24, 2017, at Pruitt Health Care Center in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.
Mary was born April 6, 1924, in Hickman County, TN, the sixth child of the late Sam and Linnie Chaney. She worked for Oakridge National Labratories and Bell Telephone, before marring Glenn Wesley Fletcher in the 1950’s and moving to northwest Georgia. She became an excellent cook and gardener. Her roast beef Sunday dinners with fresh garden vegetables were great. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, an infant daughter, her parents, and her brothers and a sister.
Survivors include her son Don Fletcher and his wife, Gray Fletcher, grandson, Wes Fletcher, and nieces and nephews.
